Ishka National Christmas Catalogue 2014
So where did it all begin? Several months ago Ishka's communication and marketing department contacted me to pitch for a shoot. The brief was to create stylish imagery that was beautiful, impactful and most of all befitting of the Ishka brand. Sydney Adventures
Over the second week of September I headed up to Sydney, for a well deserved getaway with my boyfriend Shaun. We decided to test out my new car and take the challenge of driving 892km in one sitting! After an early start and a long car trip, we finally arrived in Sydney’s CBD around dinnertime and eagerly checked into our lovely hotel in Darling Harbour. I was lucky enough to gain limited media access backstage for hair and make up preparation for the Designer Runway four and Emerging Runway events at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week 2014. The romantic themed hair and make up that wowed on the runway all week, was thanks to the amazing hairstylists from Kevin Murphy and makeup team at Mecca Maxima artists. Melbourne Spring Fashion Week 2014: Emerging Runway One and Two was nothing short of incredible creative talent, presenting the top student designers from Box Hill Institute, Kangan Institute, Melbourne School of Fashion, Whitehouse Institute of Design and RMIT University. Designer Runway Four for Melbourne Spring Fashion Week 2014 showcased a diverse range of wearable fashion and accessories for all the edgy, street-smart, unique Melbournians. The atmosphere was set with bright lights and loud music as Designer Runway Three kicked off for Melbourne Spring Fashion Week 2014. A Breathtaking live performance, curated by The RAah Project, introduced each designer, including: AKIRA, ARTHUR GALAN AG, CALIBRE, CHRISTINE, JAYSON BRUNSDON, MEGAN PARK, NEVENKA, NICOLA FINETTI, THURLEY and YEOJIN BAE. With designers known for their contemporary minimalism and simplistic elegance, the Designer Runway Two of Melbourne Spring Fashion Week 2014 saw collections from ALICE MCCALL, CARLY HUNTER, KAHLO, LIFEWITHBIRD, LUI HON, MANNING CARTELL, NEO DIA, WILLOW and YB J'AIME.
