VAMFF 2015 Independence Runway

Any fashionista knows that it’s the newcomers and indie labels on the runway that bring the most excitement and so I always look forward to the VAMFF Independence runway each year. On Saturday the 21st of March, Oyster Magazine presented the Independence Runway, which celebrated some of Australia’s most innovative designers joining together to present their AW15 collections. To commence the show were the Festival’s 2014 ‘Tiffany & Co. National Designer Award’ winners, Strateas.Carlucci, following the international success of their label launch. Then after a short musical performance by Chela, a selection of avant-garde Australian fashion labels followed, with Celeste Tesoriero, Elissa McGowan, Salasai, Emma Mulholland, Dress up and Pageant (being this years winners of Tiffany & Co National Designer Award). I am always a big fan of the Independence runway and love all the edgy and innovative designs that shape the show each year.
